Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Athlete of the Year award.

The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The show will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
