The combatants are celebrating a massacre that relief organizations suspect killed in excess of two thousand civilians in the Sudan's urban center of the Darfur city during October.

A City Cut Off from the World

Having held the urban area under blockade for approximately 24 months, from August the paramilitary force proceeded to strengthen its control and restrict the surviving residents.
