Passionate supporters of the pop star are demanding that a person who jumped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains videos of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another response on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore supporters had queued up to greet the cast of Wicked

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two very different characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
